Alpine Swift is situated on the beautiful Grace Hill Farm, just outside Rhodes Village in the Southern Drakensberg. It is very close to Lesotho. Two of the highest mountain passes in South Africa, the Naude’s Neck Pass and the Carlisleshoek Pass are both on our doorstep. Altitudes reach up to 3,001m above sea level. Other passes include Tiffindell Tenahead Traverse (TTT), Volunteershoek Pass, and Ben MacDhui Pass (currently closed).
There are a number of campsites, one of the fav among guests, is the river campsite
Located around a willow tree right beside the Bell River, the River Campsite is by far the most popular campsite at Alpine Swift. Safe, secluded and slightly wild, there is a lovely swimming spot in the river with a steep mountain staircase on the opposite side.
