Greyton EcoCamp is an easy 1,5hrs drive from Cape Town and only 4km outside the village of Greyton. Even so, it is still off the beaten track, offering guests a peaceful and secluded getaway in the heart of Nature where the Gobos river and the Riviersonderend meet.
Mostly Off Grid: Each camp site has a fire pit and there are also strategically placed built-in braai areas – wood is available upon request.
The resort is solar powered and our bathrooms are warmly lit and the water heated by the power of the sun. The grey water that comes from the bathrooms is directed towards our indigenous trees so we use only biodegradable products. We request that you bring your own environmentally friendly personal care and dish washing products, but if you need we do have some available to purchase which cost even less than the non-friendly versions!
We encourage guests to lower their own personal carbon footprint by recycling your waste or even taking it home with you, purchasing one of our R10 long life bags to avoid the use of plastic bags, or even planting a tree to help our replanting scheme.
Campers can chose their own spot – by the river, in woodland or out in the fresh open spaces with outstanding views of the mountains.
The night skies are crystal clear owing to the lack of ambient light and there is an abundance of bird-life and natural beauty.
There are two field kitchen areas for campers – which are particularly useful for groups and eco-events.
We offer discounted rates for group bookings and events as well as membership and loyalty programs for individuals and families alike.
There is cellphone signal and charging of devices can be arranged upon request.
